Stephen McGee, MS

Bioinformatics Specialist

StephenMcGeeWhile attending graduate school, Stephen’s research focused primarily on the mechanics and implications of small oligonucleotide probes in microarray design. He began his career in bioinformatics at the Greenwood Genetic Center in 2010 after graduating from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte. His work focuses on the analysis, interpretation, and storage of next-generation sequencing data. Stephen’s research interests also include the development and implementation of neural networks and pattern-finding algorithms in analyzing microarray gene expression data to aid in the development of diagnostic practices.
