Today, as in 1974, the Greenwood Genetic Center focuses on serving families.  Each year, more than 10,000 families from South Carolina and neighboring states receive clinical and laboratory services at the Greenwood Genetic Center.  Clinical services are provided throughout the state through the primary facility in Greenwood and satellite offices in Greenville, Columbia, Anderson, Orangeburg, Florence, Hartsville, and Charleston.  These clinics are supported with the laboratory technology of the diagnostic and research facilities of the Center.  Our geneticists and counselors work closely with state agencies, hospitals and other organizations to make services available to as many families as possible.  These services include patient evaluation, test interpretation, and genetic counseling for patients and their families.
