July 3, 2012 - GGC's mobile science laboratory, the Gene Machine, attended the 7th World Rett Syndrome Congress in New Orleans last month to provide information and a hands-on laboratory experience to help families better understand the genetics behind this condition.
Schwartz Receives NIH Grant to Develop Autism Test
June 8, 2012 – The Greenwood Genetic Center (GGC) has received a $275,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health to support the development of a test for autism spectrum disorders. The lead investigator on the two year project is GGC's Director of Research, Dr. Charles Schwartz.
Gene Machine Scheduling for 2012-2013 School Year
The Greenwood Genetic Center's Division of Education will be taking scheduling request for the Gene Machine Mobile Science Lab's 2012-2013 school year beginning May 17th through May 22nd. Scheduling will follow, and you will be notified during the summer. Please note that schools within the same geographical region will be grouped for overnight trips.
