Gene Machine Scheduling for 2012-2013 School Year

The Greenwood Genetic Center's Division of Education will be taking scheduling request for the Gene Machine Mobile Science Lab's 2012-2013 school year beginning May 17th through May 22nd. Scheduling will follow, and you will be notified during the summer. Please note that schools within the same geographical region will be grouped for overnight trips.

Greenwood Celebrates Legacy of R. Boykin Curry, Jr.

May 6, 2012 - On Sunday, May 6th, GGC and the Greenwood community paid tribute to the legacy of R. Boykin Curry, Jr., an influential businessman and cornerstone of the Greenwood community who passed away earlier this year. Curry was instrumental in the founding of GGC and the event concluded with the announcement of the R. Boykin Curry Endowed Chair in Medical Genetics.


GGC's Jones to Present Autism Panel at International Conference

Dr. Julie Jones, Director of GGC's Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory as been selected to present GGC's 62-gene Syndromic Autism Panel at the Roche-Nature Medicine Translational Neuroscience Synposium in Switzerland.


GGC to Host International Conference on Glycoprotein Storage Diseases

April 2, 2012 - The 2012 International Conference for Glycoprotein Storage Disorders will be held in North Charleston, SC on July 28-29, 2012. The Greenwood Genetic Center is the host institution for this international scientific meeting which brings together researchers, clinicians and students from all scientific disciplines who have an interest in these disorders. Abstract submissions are now being accepted.
