Genetic Education Center/Tours

The Greenwood Genetic Center is a wonderful resource and we welcome any interested classes, community groups or individuals to visit our campus. The Division of Education has converted former laboratory space on our Greenwood campus into a dedicated educational space for visiting groups. This renovation allows visitors to not only tour and learn about GGC, but also have hands-on experience with some of the most current technologies in the medical genetics field. The Education Center includes a classroom, computer lab and laboratory space equipped with the same technologies used in our diagnostic and research labs. A visit to the Genetic Education Center may include an introductory presentation about GGC, a walking tour of our laboratory facilities, and per teacher request, participation in a laboratory activity or module. School groups, adult community organizations, professional groups or any interested individuals are invited to tour our facility.
