The Greenwood Genetic Center operates South Carolina's only Medical Genetics training program and is one of 44 accredited programs in the nation to offer training in four or more specialty areas. The Center's Postdoctoral Genetics Training Program is designed for individuals with an MD or PhD degree seeking academic, clinical, and research careers in human and medical genetics. The programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (MD) and the American Board of Medical Genetics (PhD). Training programs last two to three years. Clinical, as well as research competence is stressed with opportunities available for the trainee in all areas of genetics.
Applications for the Biochemical Genetics and Cytogenetics Laboratory Fellowship Programs beginning July 1, 2016 are currently being accepted through August 1, 2015. If you are interested in one of these training programs, please complete an application and submit it with your CV, statement of intent and 3 letters of reference.
We will not be accepting applications for the Molecular Genetics fellowship position for 2016.
