Summer Courses
Since 1994 GGC has offered a one-week course for biology instructors each summer on our Greenwood campus. The courses offer classroom instruction led by GGC faculty and guest speakers, hands-on laboratory and other activities as well as time for teachers to share ideas that work in their classroom.
The course provides three graduate credit hours that can be used for recertification or to transfer into a graduate program of study. We currently offer four separate courses on a rotating schedule. Summer Course registration begins in early spring.
The 2011 Annual Summer Course (Biology 612) was a great success! The group spent the final morning at the Lander University Equestrian Center learning about hippotherapy and therapeutic riding for individuals with disabilities. Click here for more photos from the week.
The 2012 Annual Summer Course will be Biology 610: Developmental Genetics: A Journey from Conception through Adulthood, June 18-22, 2012. Click here to download brochure and registration form.
