| Dr. Lebel began his faculty appointment as Senior
Clinical Geneticist in 2003. Before coming to Greenwood, Dr. Lebel
was in the private practice of Medical Genetics in Illinois.
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Dr. Lebel took his
early training at the University of Massachusetts (Zoology, BS 1967, MS
1970), and Boston College (Philosophy, MA 1974). From there he moved to
the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California and then the
University of Wisconsin, Madison. His postgraduate work was done at the
Milwaukee campus of the University of Wisconsin Medical, where he served
on the faculty in the departments of Obstetrics/Gynecology and Medicine
until opening a private practice in Illinois.
Dr. Lebel is Director of the Fetal Pathology service and
the Medical Ethics program. He also has developed a network of
clinics devoted to adult-onset disorders, especially familial cancer.
