Gene Week 2017 Schedule Announced

The second annual Gene Week, celebrating the mission of GGC, will take place in Greenwood from September 30 to October 7, 2017. All events will be held
on the GGC campus (117 Gregor Mendel Circle) and are open to the public.

    4th annual Jammin’ for Genes

    BBQ and Music Lawn Festival featuring The Little Roy and Lizzie Show 6pm-9pm

    Tickets available online (Adults – $20, Children 12 and under – $5)

    All proceeds benefit the GGC Foundation
  • Tuesday, October 3rd

    Science on Tap

    Community lecture featuring GGC’s Dr. Mike Friez

    “How Genomic Sequencing is Changing Medicine”

    6pm at GGC’s Curry Conference Center/Auditorium

    Free and open to the public
  • Thursday, October 5th

    GGC Open House

    Tour the campus, meet faculty and do an experiment on the Gene Machine

    4:30-6:30pm

    Free and open to the public

    Reception hosted by the GGC Foundation’s Double Helix Society
  • Saturday, October 7th

    7th annual Race the Helix® – Greenwood

    5K run and 1 mile run/walk

    9am

    $25 entry fee for the 5K

    1 mile walk is free with online registration

    All proceeds benefit the GGC Foundation
